Increase your personal effectiveness through interpersonal awareness and "flex to the person you are working with" skills.
Should I do Competency Styles® myself?

As a HR Professional, a group Facilitator, a Trainer, a Coach, a Counselor or an Adult Educator, you have the

  • one-on-one communication skills,

  • the workshop management skills,

  • and the stand-up presentation skills

that are needed to conduct effective workshops.

You know that modeling behavior is an essential component of effective training and workshop leadership. By completing the various Competency Styles® work books, you will be able to share your results with your workshop participants or coaching clients.

The Workshop Facilitator's Kits from WCI Press assume that you will do so. A copy of the relevant work book is included in each facilitator kit to allow you to do this.

The Benefits of Completing the Work Books

  1. You will have the same experience base as the individuals with whom you work in workshops, training programs or counseling situations.

  2. You will be able to model "sharing" personal results for your clients.

  3. Your participants will be able to relate their observations of your behavior to your results. You are a "safe" subject, since they can ask you about the connections they make. This will increase their confidence in their ability to transfer this skill to on-the-job and other day-to-day situations.
